DJ Dreypa
DJ Dreypa is a technically skilled and visually impressive Multi genre DJ who at very young age taught himself the art of mixing and scratching. From a young age he was heavily influenced by music from pop, hindi to underground hip-hop being listened to and played by family members who also dj’d at parties wedding and clubs. He began recording songs of the radio composing and cutting up beats and sounds to create mixes which then progressed to computer software and drum machines which allowed him to excelled in the studio as well as the decks.
As a testament to his skills DJ Dreypa has performed at some of the finest clubs in the world including London’s Legendary Ministry of Sound, Jazz Cafe, Bar Rumba, XOYO, The Garage, Mayfair Club & most recent residency at the infamous Tape London.
Dreypa was also the resident DJ and co-promoter of the South east Englands legendary Club night ‘Ebonics’ along with DJ Kayper in Cambridge. The night hosted a number of legendary DJs like Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money, Premier, Clinton Sparks, Chris Goldfinger, & Stone Love to name a few.
Over the years he has spinned alongside and supported acts like Joel Ortiz , Immortal Technique, DJ Premier, Redman & Method Man, J Cole, Future, Lowkey, Shortie Blitz, DJ Premier, MJ Cole, Dreem Team, Akala.
Dreypa also gained a Bachelors Degree in Music where he further studied music sociology, production and business and is now working with Music Departments on events featuring Industry leading artists, producers and engineers.
He has also worked with charities such as United Borders teaching & mentoring the youth around local communities and in London’s prisons Inspiring young generations on music and self development.
Having gone through personal tough times and health issues Dreypa has also been keen on the subject of music and Mental Health and wants to further learn and educate others through his work.
After DJ’ing on pirate radio in his early days in 2011 he presented his own self-titled show on London’s Buzz Radio. The show presented an assortment of Urban & Electronic genres with a touch of Asian influenced music. Since then, fellow deck luminaries and producers such as the likes of DJ Premier (Gang Star), DJ Young Guru (Jay-Z’s Official DJ/Producer) have all co-signed Dreypa. Acting as their UK A&R, tour assistant over the years building a close relationship
As well as being a tastemaker radio/dj personality, Dreypa is also a music producer. Over the years learning his craft and working on genre fusion projects and remixes.
In 2014 he released several Liquid Drum & Bass Singles and EP’s under Soul Cypherz as a duo with Producer Nick SagarHouse who met each other at university. They gained Support from BBC Radio, Asian Network, Rinse FM, Buzz Radio, Origin UK, and various stations over Europe. They were also featured on pod casts such as Ledge sounds, Wild Runner, Human Traffic, The Pressure Show and football channel Scout Nation. After taking a break both producers have reunited by popular demand to work on and release their album in 2021.
Recently Dreypa has been focusing further on his sound and solo material with both underground and mainstream artists with projects scheduled to be released next year which looks to be an exciting year for him so stay tuned.
Nick Sagar-House
Nick started his musical journey at the age of 13 in Paris where he learned to play the bass & guitar. Over the years he participated & performed in numerous bands covering genres from rock, metal, jazz, new age & urban music. He pursued his passion by moving to London to study a music degree where he was acquired in the dance music scene as a session guitarist. After performing at venues such as Brixton Academy, KOKO & The Fridge he was inspired to explore the world of music production. Since then he has been playing at festivals such as Universo Paralelo in Brazil, Some of the best parties in London and many exciting festivals around Europe as Mechanimal & Saga.
